A robust and flexible design system
After an extensive digital brand exploration, a full UI and motion design system was crucial to the execution of this project. We designed and built over 40 components and ~20 custom page templates for the MVP launch, and continue to refine post-launch.
Designed for accessibility and inclusivity
From the beginning, accessibility and inclusivity was top of mind. Along with striving for AAA compliance throughout the site, we conducted years of extensive user research and testing in order to ensure we took into account feedback from as much of the user base as possible.
One of my favorite parts of the site is our animated physician illustrations—we built in randomized loading of 200+ portraits each time the page is refreshed.
Prototyping for a future state
People should be able to establish their care team based on far more than just the basics. Beyond expertise, location and availability, what type of person are people looking for in their medical journey? How can we replicate the warm, conversational and trusted tone of a UNC Health professional with good bedside manner through digital brand expression and ease of use?
